Brescia to Lago d'Iseo

For foodie reference, we are seeing more Belgian ales, wheat beers, and dark ales the further north we proceed. Dave had this delightful Belgian ale with pizza in Brescia.

We rode out of Brescia this morning along a route that skirted the large mountains surrounding the next lake. These modest country houses caught our eye.

After many intersection challenges, we came to Iseo and headed up the
south shore of the lake. We soon spotted a great campground that was on the lake and our campsite was not too bad.

After setting up camp, we were entranced by the light on the mountains.

Beautiful country! And the modest country houses look palacial. I thought of you two yesterday as we drove into the Sierras to begin a one week stay in Truckee and remembered your trek a few years back as you began the cross country trip. The temperatures are unseasonably cool with snow showers possible. In June?

Hi Diana, the snow in the Sierra is surprising. We heard that ski resorts were open for Memorial Day! I don't remember that happening before. Have a good time in Truckee!

Anne, we've been riding through an area that reminds me of some of the riding in Virginia. There are forested hills that we climb and open valleys, but they have industrial parks instead of agriculture. Hope the humidity isn't too bad yet, we've had some but very bearable.

Hey Daniel, I'll hoist one for you! Glad to hear the band is busy. I wish you were playing in Como so I could go listen.

Bron, Dave is not camera shy, but he has vetoed the use of pictures with him. Leslie (Dave's sister) noticed the same thing in 2008. Hope the heat isn't too bad, we're having rain for a week now. L8R, Boo

Bron, what your sister said is not exactly true. I have only edited one picture of myself. But now she is scaredy! Oh well...
